#1: Van Gogh | Self-portraits | Art Exhibitions London

Location: The Courtauld Gallery, Somerset House, Strand, London WC2R 0RN.

Dates: 3rd February to 8th May 2022

Description: This will be the first time that the full span of Van Gogh’s self-portraiture has been explored in an exhibition. An outstanding selection of more than 15 self-portraits will be brought together to trace the evolution of Van Gogh’s self representation.

#2: INTERNATIONAL GARDEN PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR

Location: Kew Gardens, Kew, London, TW9 3AF

Dates: 5th February until 6th March 2022

Description: The launch exhibition of the 15th International Garden Photographer of the Year (IGPOTY) competition will return to Kew Gardens this coming February. The exhibition will feature a selection of higher-placed winning photographs from across all main pay-to-enter categories, such as; ‘Beautiful Gardens’, ‘The Beauty of Plants’, ‘Wildlife in the Garden’ and newest addition — ‘The World of Fungi’..

#3: LIFE BETWEEN ISLANDS | CARIBBEAN-BRITISH ART 1950S - NOW

Location: TATE BRITAIN, Millbank, London, SW1P 4RG

Dates: 22nd January until 9th March 2021

Description: This exhibition explores the work of artists from the Caribbean who made their home in Britain, alongside other British artists whose work has been influenced and inspired by Caribbean themes and heritage.

#4: LATE CONSTABLE | Art Exhibitions London | FEBRUARY 2022

Location: Royal Academy Of Arts, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BD

Dates: 30th October to 13th February 2022

Description: John Constable is one of Britain’s best-known artists: a graduate of the RA Schools and a regular exhibitor at the Summer Exhibition, his ascent to fame is closely tied with the history of the RA. Yet, until now, the RA has never staged a major retrospective of his work. This exhibition – which spans from 1825 until the artist’s unexpected death in 1837 – explores Constable’s late style through his paintings and oil sketches as well as watercolours, drawings and prints.

#5: LOUISE BOURGEOIS: THE WOVEN CHILD | ART EXHIBITIONS LONDON

“I have always had a fascination with the magic power of the needle”

Location: Hayward Gallery, Belvedere Road, London

Dates: 9th February until 16th May 2022

Description: The first major retrospective of this legendary artist to focus exclusively on her work using fabrics and textiles. In the last two decades of her career, Bourgeois began to incorporate clothes from all stages of her life into her art. This developed into a varied body of work – from monumental installations, to figurative sculptures and abstract collages – incorporating textiles such as bed linen, handkerchiefs, tapestry, and needlepoint.
